Amanda Coggin vs. United Airlines
"Compensation for inconvenience of cancelled flight delayed for 24 hours"
-
Amanda Coggin We have noticed that ever since United and Continental Airlines merged, their service has gone from pleasant to almost tolerable. We had a flight to Spain that was supposed to depart today from SFO via ORD (Chicago) and MUN (Munich). The first flight from SFO was delayed for two hours without any explanation. This made it impossible for us to make the flight in time in Chicago to continue our flights onto Munich and Malaga, Spain. United offered no excuse, no apology, no compensation for our baggage fee, for the taxi that we paid for to the airport. They booked us for the same flight legs tomorrow, and now we are missing one full day of our vacation. What I find intolerable is that when I, as a consumer, want to make any change to my itinerary on United Airlines, they charge me a fee + the change in airfare cost. But if United makes any changes to MY flight as a consumer, they don't have to pay a thing.
