PublikDemand vs. Bank of America
"Stop offering some of the worst customer service in the country"
-
PublikDemand
Bank of America consistently mistreats its customers and in April 2012 was the runner-up in The Consumerist’s Worst Company in America contest.
According to King 5, a Seattle television station, a family in the state of Washington wanted to adjust their mortgage after the husband lost his job. The family sent in the appropriate paperwork which Bank of America claimed it never got. They also spent hours on the phone trying to resolve the situation, something the bank said never happened.
Though Bank of America had problems handling a mortgage adjustment, it quickly sold the family’s home. At this point, the husband had a new job and was able to make payments. The family talked to the bank and it revoked the sale. Four days after being told they could stay in their home, the family received an eviction notice.
Stories like this are not uncommon. Bank of America is known for issuing fees customers are never made aware of, holding on to checks to collect overdraft fees, and closing the accounts of paying credit card holders.
It’s clear that Bank of America has no interest in putting its customers first. Sign this demand to make Bank of America take better care of its customers.
What We Want
We want Bank of America to be more transparent. Being upfront about fees and quickly responding to valid complaints and requests will go a long way in improving the company’s customer service.
