PublikDemand vs. Bank of America
"Stop cutting the credit limits of customers who play by the rules"
-
PublikDemand
Bank of America is lowering the credit limits of customers who are paying their bills on time, keeping their balances low, and have a high credit score. This is being done at the will of the bank with little to no justification.
Additionally, Bank of America can lower a customer’s credit limit below their current balance. This results in a fee for being over the limit.
A Bank of America customer named Jason wrote into The Consumerist saying he had paid off his entire credit card balance, planned on keeping his card active, had never missed a payment, and always paid on time. The bank’s response was: “it’s our decision to close your account at this time.” Jason was an excellent customer whose account was closed because Bank of America wasn’t making any money off of him.
This shouldn’t happen to customers who are doing everything in their power to be in good standing with the bank. Sign this demand to make Bank of America treat its best customers fairly.
What we want
We want Bank of America to stop cutting the credit limits of customers that play by the rules. Those doing everything right shouldn’t be punished.
